Spring.
How did it end up being April already? The snowboards almost made it out of the basement this season, just when we thought about getting into the snow. It’s gone. Oh well, no worries. That’s all good. Next season, right Della? Little 8 month old girls take away your time, and that’s totally fine with us. We wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Della. The list is so long. And when we take a step back and realize all the magic she’s accomplished over the last month, it’s just crazy. She’s started to full on crawl and almost stand/cruise. She can crawl all quick like to the corner, grab that pile of books off of the table and somehow eat a full page of one of them. I didn’t want to know how it ended anyhow. She’s clapping, she’s sharing, she’s playing drums, she’s singing along with notes (in key even). She’s not reading, but she’s eating the pages. That’s close to reading right? She’s definitely getting an opinion. She wants water, she’ll find a cup. She has favorite toys. Oh yeh, don’t take that away from her if she’s enjoying it.
G. Last week G took the leap back into teaching. 2 days with some of the same kids she student taught. It was almost as if she hadn’t left. It was a great way to start back up – and they pay her for it.
J. Working on a new FCS record. Riow Arai CD hits in 2 weeks via the mvmnt. The IIF DVD is going to be a double disc (thanks mune for working on the Japanese subs). A few other records and movies are taking shape right now .. more on that another time.
Oh yes … we got a new camera. Here’s D-zilla before bed.
For all of the friends and people without kids …. a couple of subtle notes for you.
* Yes, we still do the things we want to do. That includes playing music, going out, having fun. What don’t we get done? The things I guess we never needed to get done. heh. You can still do _______________ and you’ll quickly realize that ________________ isn’t worth the time.
* Little kids really do give you a chance to rediscover what it is to be living. Oh I hear it now … ‘that’s so greeting card’. Well, I suppose so. But it’s true.
* We aren’t different, we just have a baby. Hmm, did that come out right? hah.
* If you call us after 9:30 and we don’t answer, that’s because Della is trying to go to bed. If we don’t call you back, don’t take it too personally.
