Eleven pm. Setting up drums to track all day tomorrow. Vista lites look cool and zepplin would approve but they are insanely hard to tune. The resin body creates a strange resonance after each hit that is hard to mix.

We’re staying at the Chrysalis in Bellingham and that is our view from the tub. Seriously crazy view of the Sound.

Dear Bellingham, I apologize for visiting you many times over the years but never realizing how charming you were.

We’ve been looking for a new house over the last few weeks. Our current house is pretty alright, but when lil’ sister shows up – it will feel snug.

Della has this little MP3 player with her favorite songs on it. Among them is the Jungle Book song ‘I want to be like you’. On the hour, you will hear it. Sort of like our modern clock. In the last few weeks, Della has also decided that Johnny Cash is it. She loves Ring of Fire and hearing Johnny say ‘I’m goin’ to Jackson …’. So those two songs are stuck in our heads, together.

What else?

Della told us she wants a tattoo when she’s a mommy.

‘Where?’
‘Hmm, maybe on my leg … right here.’
